Instagram is a very popular social media platform. You can share your photos, videos, and text with others privately through Instagram chats or direct messages. Messages are a major component of any social media platform, and for privacy reasons, you may occasionally want to hide your Instagram messages.
It is the safest method of sending a private communication, guaranteeing that only the sender and the recipient will ever be aware of its existence. WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger already have this feature. Regretfully, Instagram does not currently support this feature. However, you may still use a slightly different method to keep your Instagram chat private. This post will provide you a brief overview of how to conceal your Instagram messages in a few easy steps.
Hiding Instagram chats messages
Instagram is a social media platform. One of the most underappreciated features that most people are unaware of is your quick notification. Therefore, your communications will be automatically ignored by the public when you hide or disable your alerts. Make sure your account is a creator account if you want to hide your Instagram messages. There are two inboxes in your creator account: the Primary inbox and the General inbox.
\Go to your Instagram profile first in order to conceal your conversations. Next, tap the three-line icon located in your profile’s upper right corner. Next, choose the settings option from the menu that appears. Choose the “Notification” option from here. Select the “Direct messages” option now. Scroll down under “direct messages” and choose the “Messages” area in the center. Three choices are shown here: Off, From Primary only, and From Primary and General.

You can conceal your alerts by category with the use of these three options. You won’t receive any notifications when you receive messages on Instagram if you choose the first option. If you choose option number two, the app will alert you when you receive messages from your primary inbox. If you choose option number three, the app will alert you when you receive messages from anybody.
Choose the first “Off” option to hide everyone’s notifications. Choose the second “From primary only” option if you would like to get notifications from your primary mailbox. Additionally, use the third “From Primary and General” option if you like to get notifications from both your primary and general inboxes.
